FAQ

Is my Agent data used to train models?
No. All data submitted into the Prompt LLM and Search Perplexity nodes is contractually prohibited from being used by third-party AI providers (such as OpenAI, Anthropic, or Perplexity) to train or improve their underlying models.
Do the content generation nodes use public chat apps or connections?
No. All content generation via Agents is routed through secure, enterprise-tier API connections rather than public-facing consumer interfaces, such as public ChatGPT or Claude apps.
Does Profound integrate with my CMS so I can automatically publish content?
Yes. Profound Agents supports direct integration with WordPress, Framer, Sanity, Payload, Contentful, Webflow, and Basehub. You can create new posts, update existing content, or manage drafts, all as part of an automated workflow.
How does Profound integrate with SEO tools?
Profound Agents includes native Semrush nodes that let you query Semrush data as part of a workflow: keyword volume, organic traffic, domain metrics, and so on. You can combine Semrush signals with Profound's AEO data in a single pipeline, then pass the combined output to an LLM node to generate content briefs or strategic recommendations. DataforSEO is also supported for broader SEO data needs, including SERP analysis and keyword research.
Does the platform automatically implement content updates, or does it only provide recommendations?
Both are possible, and you control which approach your Agents take. Agents can be configured to generate recommendations and surface them for human review before any content is published, or they can be set up to publish directly to your CMS without a manual approval step. Most teams start with a review step and automate publishing once they're confident in the output quality.
Can the platform generate content briefs and articles based on identified gaps?
Yes. A common Agents pattern is to pull Profound visibility data or run a Google Search query, identify gaps or underperforming topics, and then pass that context to a Prompt LLM node to generate content briefs or full articles. The output can then be sent to Slack for review or published directly to your CMS.
Does Profound integrate with Shopify?
There is no native Shopify node in Agents. However, data can be pushed to and pulled from Shopify via the Call API node, which connects Agents to any REST or GraphQL API. This allows product content, catalog data, or e-commerce signals to be incorporated into your AEO workflows. Native Shopify node support is planned for a future release.
Does the platform integrate with Google Analytics or Looker Studio?
There are no dedicated Looker Studio or Google Analytics nodes. For Looker Studio, Agent outputs can be pushed into reporting pipelines via the Call API node. For Google Analytics, the Call API node can be used to connect GA4 data into your workflows.
Does the platform integrate with Reddit?
There is no direct Reddit integration yet, but several templates are available for Reddit analysis and engagement, such as the Reddit Insights Generator. These templates let you identify top-cited Reddit threads, surface key discussion themes, and generate on-brand comments.
How does Profound help brands improve visibility in AI search results through Agents?
Agents turn Profound's measurement data into action. Build workflows that monitor Answer Engine visibility on a schedule, identify the specific content gaps or citation weaknesses driving underperformance, generate optimized content to address them, and publish that content automatically.
A good example is the AEO Content Refresh Agent, available in the Agents template library.
Can I run an Agent across many inputs at once instead of one at a time?
Yes. Sheets lets you supply a spreadsheet of inputs and run an Agent across every row in parallel. This is designed for bulk workflows such as generating content briefs for a large keyword list, refreshing an entire content category, or running visibility analysis across multiple topics in a single operation.
What models power the Prompt LLM node? Can I bring my own API keys?
The Prompt LLM node supports a variety of models, including the latest from Anthropic, OpenAI, and AWS Bedrock. Select any available model as needed. Bringing your own API keys is not currently supported.
