The Ads Studio design partner program is an invite-only beta for brands ready to run paid ads on ChatGPT and help shape the Ads Studio product as it's built.

Design partners redirect a portion of their existing ad spend through Profound and, in return, get exclusive capabilities and insights that aren't available anywhere else, including in OpenAI's own Ads Manager.


Program terms

Design partners commit to a target of $100,000 (roughly $33,000 per month) in ChatGPT ad spend through Profound over the program period. This budget goes directly to placements on ChatGPT via OpenAI's Ads Manager. Profound takes no margin.

The spend commitment is flexible and can be adjusted based on your existing budget. At a minimum, we suggest $10,000 per month, for three months.

Partners can cancel at any time with 30 days' notice, and any uncommitted budget is returned in full.


What design partners get 

ChatGPT advertising is in its earliest phase: around 2% of conversations show ads today, competition is sparse, and best practices are still being figured out. Design partners get the exclusive data and tools to win in this window, plus a direct hand in shaping the product.

Early access to Ads Studio features

Design partners get full access to Ads Studio ahead of general availability. This includes capabilities no other platform offers: paid vs. organic share of voice, conversation-level ad insights with relevance scoring, and competitor ad intelligence. Ad generation and campaign management capabilities are coming soon.

First-mover advantage

Brands building expertise in ChatGPT advertising now will be ahead when the channel matures. Early return on ad spend (ROAS) data from Profound's beta participants is already proving the format works.

Direct product input and dedicated support

Your feedback shapes the feature roadmap directly. Design partners have bi-weekly strategy sessions with Profound's Ads Studio team and direct access to support for campaign setup and ongoing optimization.


What we ask

The program is designed to be low-friction, so not much commitment is required. All we need is for you to:

  • Redirect a portion of your ChatGPT ad spend through Profound (target: $100k over three months)

  • Share performance feedback on an ongoing basis

  • Join bi-weekly strategy sessions with Profound's Ads team

  • Provide 30 days' notice to exit the program

The program is invite-only. Entry is evaluated case by case based on fit, budget readiness, and Profound's data coverage of your brand.
